Carholics is owned and operated by MaComp Oy.
This Payment Policy regulates the conditions applicable to all financial transactions carried out through the Carholics website. By placing an order, the user declares that they have legal authorization to use the selected payment method and accepts the conditions set out in this policy and in the general terms and conditions of the website. All orders are subject to payment verification, security checks, and validation by the financial service providers used by Carholics. Carholics may reject, suspend, or cancel any transaction when there are reasonable grounds related to fraud, unauthorized use of a payment method, incorrect information, or breach of contract.
1. ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS
Carholics accepts payments by credit and debit cards, as well as through the following external payment providers, whose availability may vary depending on the user's location:
- Credit and debit cards (including, but not limited to, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or other compatible networks offered by payment providers)
- Shopify Payments
- PayPal
- MobilePay
- Vipps
- Qliro
- Paytrail
Some third-party payment providers may offer different payment methods within their own platforms, with credit or debit card payment being the most common. The availability of these options will depend exclusively on the selected provider, the user's country, and the criteria established by the corresponding financial institution.
Each payment provider acts as an independent entity and may apply its own contractual terms, verification policies, anti-fraud controls, operating limits, or regulatory requirements. By selecting a third-party provider, the user agrees to be bound by its terms and conditions.
2. PAYMENT PROCESSING
Payment must be completed at the time of placing the order. No order will be processed or shipped until payment has been authorized and confirmed by the corresponding provider. Carholics does not store complete card details or sensitive financial credentials; such data is managed directly by payment gateways certified to international security standards, including PCI-DSS.
If the payment is rejected, canceled, or not authorized by the selected financial institution or provider, the order will be considered unconfirmed and will not generate any obligation on the part of Carholics to supply the goods.
3. VERIFICATION AND FRAUD PREVENTION
Transactions may be subject to automatic or manual checks designed to prevent fraud, unauthorized access, or misuse of payment methods. Carholics may request additional information or verification from the payment holder before approving an order. During this process, the order may remain temporarily under review. Carholics may cancel orders that do not pass reasonable security verification procedures.
4. CURRENCY, PRICES, AND TAXES
The prices indicated on the website will be displayed in the applicable currency according to the user's regional settings. Taxes, duties, import fees, or other charges applicable outside the jurisdiction of Carholics will be the sole responsibility of the customer when they are enforceable under local law. Price changes will not affect previously confirmed and paid orders.
5. DEFERRED PAYMENTS OR EXTERNAL FINANCIAL SERVICES
When the user uses payment methods that include financing, deferred payment, or financial services offered by external providers (e.g., Qliro or Paytrail), any financial agreement will exist exclusively between the user and the corresponding provider. Carholics does not act as a credit institution and assumes no responsibility for approval decisions, interest, fees, or defaults arising from such agreements.
6. TECHNICAL FAILURES AND PAYMENT ERRORS
Carholics shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, or errors resulting from technical failures in external payment platforms, banking systems, electronic networks, or mobile services beyond its reasonable control. In the event of duplicate payments or duly accredited technical errors, Carholics will cooperate reasonably to facilitate the corresponding correction.
7. REFUNDS AND CHARGEBACKS
Refunds will be processed in accordance with the applicable refund policy and will be made using the same payment method used in the original transaction, unless otherwise required by law. The time required for the refund to appear in the user's account will depend exclusively on the financial provider or banking institution in question.
In the event of chargebacks or disputes initiated with financial institutions without prior communication with Carholics, the company may temporarily suspend future orders or associated accounts until the procedure is resolved.
8. TRANSACTION SECURITY
Transactions are processed by payment providers who apply appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect financial information. However, the user acknowledges that the transmission of data over the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. POLICY CHANGES
Carholics may modify this Payment Policy at any time. The applicable conditions will be those in force on the date the user places the corresponding order.
